Today's construction machines are typically designed with rudimentary suspension systems or no suspension at all, leading to poor ride comfort. As the demands for operator comfort and high speed travel continue to increase, it will be necessary to design more efficient suspension systems for construction machines. This project investigates how such a suspension should be designed, taking into account the particular vehicle dynamic behaviour of the machine.
