The goal of this project is to describe how the vehicles respond to disturbances such as a sudden side wind gust, uneven road distribution or a tire explosion. Effects caused by vehicle design, maintenance criteria of chassis components; brake characteristics, load distribution and road adhesion will be studied. The aim is to increase the knowledge of which parameters that affects the risk for the driver loosing control over the vehicle. As a result, recommendations and evaluations of actions to make in order to reduce the risk for accidents will be presented. The methodology used is mathematical modelling of vehicles and driver actions, simulation and measurements.
