Research Project

HEV Driving Dynamics

The project concerned driving dynamics of Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV). In this context driving dynamics refered to giving the driver as much control as possible in order to get improved driving safety. The development of HEVs would result in new power trains, brake systems, suspension systems, vehicle chassis characteristics and more. Driving safety functions would therefore be realised in new ways. The research was intended to investigate consequences of HEV on the driving dynamics and to develop methods for how it could be evaluated. It assumed a complete vehicle development approach with multi-disciplinary cooperation in close cooperation with the industry.

The project was financed as a part of the Swedish National Research Programme - Gröna Bilen.
